# PostZen > Social media API for developers and AI agents. Publish and schedule posts across Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads, YouTube, TikTok, Bluesky, Pinterest, and Telegram with one REST API. PostZen is built for product teams, developers, and AI workflows that need reliable social publishing without maintaining separate platform integrations, OAuth flows, media upload rules, rate-limit handling, and retry logic. ## Primary URLs - [Website](https://www.postzen.dev/): Product overview and platform pages. - [Pricing](https://www.postzen.dev/pricing): Free includes 2 accounts and 20 posts per month. Paid plans are $19, $49, and $149 per month with unlimited posts; extra accounts are $3 each. - [Blog](https://www.postzen.dev/blog): SEO guides for social publishing APIs, AI marketing workflows, and automation. - [Comparisons](https://www.postzen.dev/compare): Competitor comparisons and alternatives for social media API buyers. - [Documentation](https://docs.postzen.dev/): Developer documentation and quickstart. - [API reference](https://docs.postzen.dev/api-reference): Post creation and scheduling API. - [API base URL](https://api.postzen.dev): Public API host. Every endpoint is under `/v1`; unknown paths and auth failures return JSON errors with `code`, `message`, and `hint` fields. - [OpenAPI specification](https://www.postzen.dev/openapi.json): OpenAPI 3.1 document for the whole public API (also at https://docs.postzen.dev/api/openapi). - [API catalog](https://www.postzen.dev/.well-known/api-catalog): RFC 9727 linkset pointing at the spec, the reference docs, and the status page. - [MCP server](https://mcp.postzen.dev/mcp): Hosted Model Context Protocol server (Streamable HTTP) exposing every API operation as a tool. Server card: https://www.postzen.dev/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json - [Status page](https://status.postzen.dev): Uptime and incident history. ## When to use PostZen Reach for PostZen when the job is any of these: - Publish a post, thread, image, video, carousel, Pin, Short, or story to one or more of the 10 supported platforms from code or from an agent, without registering developer apps on each platform. - Schedule posts for a specific time, drop them into a recurring queue, or bulk-import a CSV of posts. - Read and reply to comments on Instagram, Facebook, and Threads, or read and answer Instagram direct messages. - Automatically DM people who comment a keyword on an Instagram post or reply to a story (comment-to-DM automation). - Pull post, account, and follower analytics across platforms, or import an account's past posts into one timeline. - Give an AI agent (Claude, Cursor, Codex, OpenClaw, GrokBot, Hermes, or any MCP client) the ability to do all of the above through natural language. PostZen is not the right tool for: paid ads, platforms it does not support (Reddit, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Discord, Slack, Google Business), or DMs on any platform other than Instagram. How an agent should call PostZen: 1. Get an API key. A human can create one at https://app.postzen.dev/api-keys; an agent can mint one without a browser session by following https://www.postzen.dev/auth.md (device authorization). 2. Send `Authorization: Bearer pzn_...` on every request to `https://api.postzen.dev/v1/...`. Requests with a body use `Content-Type: application/json`. 3. Prefer the hosted MCP server at https://mcp.postzen.dev/mcp when the client speaks MCP (OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration, or the same Bearer key). Otherwise use the Node SDK (`@postzen/node`), the Python SDK (`postzen-sdk`, imported as `postzen`), or plain REST per https://www.postzen.dev/agent-quickstart.md. 4. Connect social accounts first (`GET /v1/accounts` lists them; `GET /v1/connect/{platform}` returns an OAuth URL for a human to approve), then create posts with `POST /v1/posts`. 5. Errors are JSON. Read `code` for the machine-readable reason, `hint` for the fix, and honour `Retry-After` on 429. ## Agent Guides - [auth.md](https://www.postzen.dev/auth.md): Step-by-step guide for coding agents to create a PostZen account and API key via device authorization. -
